Astrazeneca’s voting challenge
The pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca needed to elect its Trade Union Representative efficiently and securely, moving from paper and in-person to online. The goal was clear: to digitize the entire election process, while complying with election regulations and security and privacy.
The solution
Astrazeneca purchased Eligo as the internet voting platform for its RSU elections. To further strengthen security and voter authentication, organizers required the Strong Authentication module, known as One Time Password (OTP). This system requires voters to confirm their identity by entering a numerical code sent via SMS on their cell phones, in addition to the use of username and password received via email.
Results
Thanks to the flexible voting methods offered by the platform, Astrazeneca was able to involve more employees, improving the representativeness of the election process. In addition, the company introduced an innovative and sustainable electronic voting proposal, with automatic, immediate and immutable ballots. The continuous and efficient support provided by Eligo helped make the entire process less stressful and smooth.
