What are Cookies and What Are They Used For

A cookie is a text file that a website visited by the user sends to the user's terminal (computer, mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet), where it is stored and then transmitted back to that site on a subsequent visit to that site. Through cookies (or other similar technologies) it is possible to enable web pages, for example, to load faster or to route information over a network (in line with fulfillments strictly related to the very operation of websites) and, at the same time, it is also possible to convey behavioral advertising and then measure the effectiveness of the advertising message (i.e., to conform type and manner of services rendered to the user's behavior that was previously observed). Cookies and other tracking tools, therefore, can have different characteristics in terms of time and be considered according to their duration (session or permanent), or from a subjective point of view (depending on whether the Company acts independently or on behalf of a "third party").

Cookies are, therefore, distinguished from each other:

- according to the entity that installs them, depending on whether it is the same operator of the site visited (so-called "first-party cookies") or a different entity (so-called "third-party cookies");

- according to the purpose of each cookie: some cookies allow better navigation or functionality by storing some user choices, for example language (c.d. "technical cookies"), other cookies allow tracking the user's navigation also for the purpose of sending advertising and/or offering services in line with the user's preferences (c.d. "marketing and/or profiling cookies" of first and/or third parties) or to perform statistical analysis to help understand how visitors interact with the site by collecting and transmitting information mostly in an anonymous form ("statistical cookies", assimilated to technical cookies where used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site itself).

Only marketing and profiling cookies or statistical cookies (not in aggregate and/or anonymous form) require the user's prior consent to their use.

Ways to express or revoke consent to marketing and/or profiling cookies

On first visit to the Site, the user can accept all cookies by typing "Accept All" from the banner or by selection of only certain types of cookies by customizing their choices and accepting only the selected type of cookie or by rejecting all non-technical cookies (i.e., statistical or marketing and profiling cookies) by typing "Reject All." Consent to marketing and/or profiling cookies, therefore, can be given or revoked at any time from the banner or from the appropriate button always viewable on the home page of the site. All or part of the cookies can also be disabled from your browser preferences (we suggest, however, that you do not disable technical cookies as this may prevent the proper functioning of the Site).

Cookies on the Site

In order to make its services as efficient and easy to use as possible, this Site makes use of certain types of cookies, with the main purpose of making the Site function more effectively and enable certain features. The Company also uses third-party technical and analytical cookies (GA4 and Google tag manager or Hubspot CRM), as well as marketing cookies.

Cookie type and function

Browsing or session cookies (falling under the category of technical or "necessary" cookies)

Browsing or session cookies are technical cookies and are necessary for the site to function. From the first access, these cookies allow the site to function properly and allow you to view content on your device correctly. Navigation cookies are technical cookies and are necessary for the site to function. They are of two categories, persistent and session:

- persistent: once you close your browser they are not destroyed but remain until a preset expiration date;

- session: they are destroyed each time the browser is closed.

Functional and Preference Cookies (falling under the category of technical or "necessary" cookies)

These cookies make it possible, based on your expressed request, to recognize you at subsequent accesses, so that you do not have to enter your data at each visit. Functional cookies are not essential to the operation of the site, but they improve the quality and experience of browsing. Preference cookies allow the website to store information that affects its behavior or appearance, such as your preferred language or image resolution for optimal viewing of the site depending on your device.

Statistical (or analytical) cookies

Statistical cookies are used for us to monitor in aggregate the performance of the site, for example to know the number of pages visited or the number of users who viewed a particular section. This information is also useful for us to evaluate possible changes and improvements to be made to the site itself. These cookies are used to collect data in an anonymous and aggregate form and to process statistical analyses of how users navigate our site. The company processes the results of these analyses anonymously and solely for statistical purposes.

Third-party behavioral or profiling cookies and Social Network cookies (falling under the category of "Marketing" cookies)

These cookies can create profiles related to the user in order to send commercial messages that meet the preferences expressed during the visit or to improve your browsing experience: as you browse our site these cookies are useful to show you content of your interest or similar to that you have viewed. Third-party cookies are those sent by third-party companies we trust. These cookies allow us to offer you our marketing proposition on other affiliated websites (e.g. retargeting). On third-party cookies, we do not have control over the information provided by the cookie and do not have access to that data. This information is fully controlled by the third-party companies as described in their respective policies and, in general, the Company plays the role of a mere technical intermediary. In some cases, however, the Company, through the use of platforms owned by these third parties, may activate retargeting or remarketing advertising campaigns. To view the aforementioned third-party cookies, inform yourself about their respective policies and consciously manage your consent or denial, we also invite you to visit
