Live questions and answers about Multiday Congress
This Live Q&A session is dedicated to the topic of managing Multiday Congresses with Eligo. This session offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with our experts and learn how Eligo can streamline and enhance your congresses, whether they span multiple days or involve complex voting procedures.
During this 30-minute live, you will see how to effectively manage voting events over several days, ensure seamless participant engagement, and handle real-time updates.
Here are the questions (and answers) we received during our recent Live Q&A session. If you missed the live event, you can re-watch it or read through the insightful questions our audience asked.
Q: Can we have different voting events on different days within the same Congress setup?
A: Yes, you can. There are two ways to approach this. The first is to create separate electoral events within Eligo for each day, which you can easily do using our clone event feature. This feature allows you to replicate the setup of one event across different days. Alternatively, you can create a single event with different ballots for each day, staggering the opening of these ballots so that each voting session happens on its designated day, all within the same overall event.
Q: How does Eligo handle real-time updates and notifications for participants during a multiday voting event?
A: Real-time updates are available to administrators, who can monitor how many participants have voted so far. Administrators can also send email reminders to those who haven’t voted yet, ensuring that all participants are kept informed and engaged throughout the event. These notifications are sent only to those who need them, keeping communication relevant and timely.
Q: If an election event lasts three days, can we suspend voting at a certain time, like 5:00 PM, and reopen it later or the day after?Ā
A: Absolutely. Our platform allows you to control the timing of voting with three states: open, closed, and suspended. When an event is suspended, participants are temporarily prevented from voting, but the event remains technically open and can be resumed at any time. This feature gives you the flexibility to pause voting overnight or during off-hours and resume it when needed.Ā
