Live questions and answers about Live Voting
Today Eligo’s Live Q&A session explores the intricacies of Live Voting and Assembly management. Live Q&A format offers a unique opportunity to connect directly with our experts and get your questions answered in real-time. Whether you’re new to digital voting or an experienced user, this session will provide valuable insights into how Eligo can transform your decision-making processes.
During this 30-minute session, we cover the essential features of live voting within assemblies, including how to manage hybrid attendance, authenticate participants, and ensure smooth voting on multiple agenda items.
Here are the questions (and answers) we received during our recent Live Q&A session. If you missed the live event, you can re-watch it or read through the insightful questions our audience asked.
Q: How can you handle voting during a live assembly if members join remotely at different times?
A: In Eligo, we’ve implemented a feature that allows you to manage access based on specific time frames. Before the designated start time, participants cannot access the assembly. Once the session begins, access is opened, and participants can join. You can also close access once the session starts, similar to how you would manage a physical assembly. This setup ensures that only those present within the correct timeframe are counted for quorum purposes and participate in the assembly.
Q: What measures do you have in place to authenticate participants during a live voting session?
A: We offer several authentication methods depending on the type of assembly. For remote sessions, participants receive encrypted credentials via email, including a username and password. We also support two-factor authentication for added security. In hybrid or in-person assemblies, we can implement physical accreditation, where participants are authenticated through an ID check before gaining access to the voting session. This system ensures that we always know who is present, both physically and remotely, at any given time.
Q: Our faculty meetings require voting on multiple agenda items in a single session. Is it possible to manage this?
A: Absolutely. In Eligo, you can customize and manage each voting item separately. Each item can be opened and closed independently, allowing the voting process to flow naturally with the pace of the assembly. This flexibility also means you can add new items or modify the agenda as needed during the session, ensuring that the voting process is as dynamic as the discussion itself.
Q: How does the system manage tie votes or instances where additional rounds of voting are required?
A: Eligo allows you to add additional ballots on the fly during an assembly. If a tie occurs or an additional vote is needed, you can quickly set up a new voting item. Our platform supports unlimited voting processes and ballots, so you can conduct as many rounds as necessary to reach a decision.
Q: Is it possible to monitor the voting process in real-time during an assembly?
A: Yes, Eligo provides real-time visibility of the voting process. You can monitor the number of registered votes as they come in, and track attendance throughout the assembly. However, to maintain the integrity of the voting process, the results of the vote are only visible once the voting session has been closed.
Q: Can we add additional items to the meeting agenda during the assembly?
A: Yes, you can easily add new items or ballots during the assembly. This feature allows for a flexible and responsive meeting environment, where participants can introduce new points for discussion and vote as the need arises.
